New York City, the Big Apple, the Melting Pot. Whatever you call it, NYC is home to some of the best restaurants in the world, and coincidentally, is also home to some of the most successful and noteworthy people on the planet. These two facts mesh together nicely, and it is not uncommon to see celebrities out and about dining at high quality restaurants. These NYC celebrity restaurants have had multiple celeb sightings – check ‘em out!
NoBu is a posh Japanese restaurant in Tribeca owned by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, who also owns other NoBu restaurants across the country, most notably one in Malibu, CA. Focusing in on the Tribeca location, which is the flagship restaurant of Chef Matsuhisa’s, many celebrities have found the Japanese restaurant to provide not only quality food, but an amazing ode to the Japanese culture thanks to its impressive interior design. Kendall Jenner helped label NoBu as one of the finest NYC celebrity restaurants this past May when she was spotted there with her sister Kylie. A month earlier, Kim Kardashian dined at NoBu as well. Feminist singer Meghan Trainor, aristocrat Hailey Baldwin, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga are all celebrities who have frequented NoBu in the past year.
Bar Pitti is one of the most noted NYC celebrity restaurants. Located near Bleecker Street, it has always been at the center of everything and everyone worth knowing. Bar Pitti opened in 1992 and features a welcoming patio atmosphere outdoors and inviting indoor trattoria to accommodate all parties. Reservations must be in parties of four or more, which means if one celebrity is coming, there must be at least three more in tow! This past March model Gigi Hadid was seen leaving Bar Pitti. Just a week prior, famed actor Harrison Ford enjoyed a bite to eat there, too. Kendall Jenner certainly knows her NYC celebrity restaurants because she too was seen at Bar Pitti last September.
Located at 24 W 55th Street, Michael’s is close enough to Times Square for the hustle and bustle, but far enough removed that celebrities aren’t made a spectacle of. This is one of the few NYC celebrity restaurants that tries to bring in a taste of SoCal freshness into the gridlocked streets of NYC. The ingredients are always fresh and a la carte, with the menu constantly changing to accommodate seasonal availabilities. Frequenting this among other NYC celebrity restaurants were Laverne Cox and Rachel Platten.
The Polo Bar
You may have guessed from the name, but the Polo Bar is the restaurant brainchild of legendary designer Ralph Lauren. Located on Fifth Avenue, the Polo Bar is the place to go to indulge and to be seen. As one of the best NYC celebrity restaurants out there, the Polo Bar is no stranger to having famous guests such as Kourtney Kardashian this past April. Other celebrity diners include Tony Bennett, Nicole Richie, and Kourtney’s sister, Kim Kardashian.
